Beachy Waves
All this look takes is a curling iron or wand. For longer hair, you can use a larger barrel, but a one-inch barrel should work for all lengths.
First step is to protect hair. Prior to styling, use Aveda’s Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment to mitigate any previous damage done to hair. Finish off your wash with some Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair, a leave-in treatment that protects your hair up to 450 degrees.
Section out the hair and alternate curling toward and away from the face, leaving the curls to cool. While the curls are still tight, spray all over with some Air Control Light Hold Hair Spray. Then use your fingers to break up the curls starting at the root to give your hair that tousled look. To go for a slightly more styled look, the half-up top knot is a quick and easy approach. This style works for any length and any texture—curly or straight. Using the outer corners of your eyebrows as a guide, create a section of hair on top of your head. Use a small comb to tease the back of this section for added texture and volume. Messy Bun
A messy bun is the standard for every haircut, style and type. This video explains how to use the Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing oil to reduce flyaways. Work through your hair as you pull it up to your desired height for your bun. Play around with different heights until you find the one that works best for you.
